CEAT announces the second edition of ‘India Road Transportation Award’

Fleet Companies and other Companies (CEAT & NON-CEAT USERS) with captive Fleet size more than 50 trucks can participate. Heavy Commercial Vehicles Fleet should be only transporters of materials. The entry is free entry and open to fleet owners across India (50+ fleet size).
Objective: To raise standards by recognizing excellence and making it known to all stakeholders‟, to create aspiration for the 2nd generation entrepreneurs, to introducing & formalizing thought leadership.
Benefits to the Industry: Benchmark for excellence in various fields from operations to environment to human resource management and use of technology, innovation led awards to drive international best practices.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vinod Kumar, Head Marketing, CEAT Ltd. said, "We are very proud to announce the second edition of India Road Transportation Awards. We have received very good response from the leading auto industry bodies last year and expecting the same kind of response this year. This initiative of CEAT is a platform to bring out the true achievers from across the Indian road industry".

Last year IRTA has received about 600 entries, from which six winners were selected. The 1st edition of event has generated positive word of mouth and, this year, we are expecting many more fleet owners to participate.
The awards will be adjudged for the following six categories OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION CUSTOMER EXPEREINCE PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT TRANSPORT PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR YOUTH ENTREPRENEUR / ACHIEVER AWARD
About IRTA:
CEAT India Road Transportation Awards seeks to reward excellence and innovative thinking in the various aspects of road transportation. It attempts to ensure fair play in the selection of award winners and does not have parameters of size and scale. This means the only consideration for winning is the power of innovation.
An eminent Advisory board has been set up to advice on the awards process and on how best to provide recognition and upliftment of transportation industry. The Advisory Board comprises of eminent
personalities such as Mr. Adarsh Kumar, Senior VP & Business Head, Tata Motor Finance, Mr. Anant Goenka, Deputy Managing Director, CEAT Ltd., Mr. G.R. An Independent jury has been set up, who will screen, tabulate score and select the finalist.
